Continuation of my previous role with RKH/Howden. Following the acquisition of A-Plan Insurance, the Corporate, Rural and Private Clients and Divisions of Howden moved into the A-Plan Group in May 2021May 2023 following the acquisition of Aston Lark Ltd the A-Plan Corporate Team moved into the Aston Lark Business traded as Howden.October 2023 Aston Lark Ltd has been renamed Howden UK Brokers Ltd and rebranded along with the majority of the business to ‘Howden’

I worked for RKH Group before Howden (part of the Hyperion Insurance Group) and RKH merged in April 2015. RKH changed its name to Howden on 01/10/2015

I joined RK Harrison in November 2007 as a Senior Account Handler.My responsibilities include all aspects of dealing with client's insurance requirements including day to day queries and all renewals.I was promoted to a Team Manager after 6 months.Effective from August 2011 I was promoted to Corporate Broker and have the overall responsibility for the Broking and Broking Strategy of Commercial / Corporate Renewals where income to RK Harrison is up to £20,000 (per client).This role has been very effective and I form one third of our Broking Committee which meets monthly to our discuss our strategy for clients renewals that are coming up and also discuss changes in the market to assist our colleagues with their dealings with insurers.I meet regularly with insurers at our offices and theirs to talk through their changing appetites and new products. I also present, discuss and negotiate new business quotations and renewals due.. This all helps a great deal with client retention and insurer relationships.

Oval took over Bland Bankart so my role continued at Oval

My responsibilities included all aspects of dealing with client's insurance requirements including day to day queries and all renewals. I also dealt with claims for all classes of insurance placed from report to settlement.
