Within my first 3 months I was tasked with migrating several customers from old unsupported versions of exchange to a current supported version. Providing day to day support for approximately 100 clients, some clients varyingfrom 1 to 1000’s employees.Support and manage the client’s backup systems and also understand that’s the products have a serious draw back in a DR scenario as such suggesting better products.I was personally responsible for the install of the new Help Desk, Manage Engine Service Desk Plus MSP, I currently manage this system on a daily basis.

In my current role at First Fence LTD, I have moved the company it network from a single small form factor server running Windows SBS 2008 to now having 4 Different sites all connected together using Sophos RED 50 and 5 Hyper V Hosts Servers, with 28 virtual servers running across these machines, this includes everything from our active directory server running on Windows Server 2012 R2 to Exchange Server 2013 in on-premise mode. I have also overseen the deployment and installation of side wide Wi-Fi at each site along with HD POE CCTV using the X-vision range of CCTV Cameras. I am also responsible for updates to the Sales System inspHire as well as Sage Payroll and Sage Account, we also have migrated our phones from the standard ISDN2 we had at our old office to a brand new SIP system which runs into a Mitel Office System with full Mitel CTI integration allowing click to dial. We have recently relocated our head office to a new location at Kiln Way were I designed and implemented our central patching room with complete cable management and colour coded cabling which I personally completed after my normal office day and finished the project at 5 am the following morning, I am responsible for the acquisition of all IT related components ranging from printer toner cartridges and up to complete branch IT installs, I have on many occasion performed critical time-sensitive updates out of normal working hours. I am also responsible for the all of our company backups for which we use Altaro Backup which works with both Windows Hyper V Server and VM Ware Servers. I have also designed and overseen the installation of First Fence LTD’s access control system with clocking in and out, this was done using a Paxton Net2 system which allowed us to have read in and read out connecting to a single net2 controllers at each door.

During my time at IT Contractor LTD I built new computers from scratch for public customers, business and for our company these systems were built from parts that I had ordered from our supplier in new cases and we also often used ECS or ASrock motherboards as we found these to be two of the better board manufactures, then I would decide on the performance required so this included selecting the best speed processor and the amount of ram to be installed. Then the only others steps really are installing the hard drive any optical drives any extra cooling whether this be air cooled with fans or water cooled, then it was about ready to be booted up for the first time were I would enter the bios and enter the optimal settings and enter a bios password if required to stop un authorized access because if one of these settings was altered incorrectly it could cause permanent damage to the system.Then depending on who the system was for I would install the operating system normally Windows XP Professional for companies, and mainly home users also asked to have XP Professional because of its better performance features. More often than not but if the computer was for our company I would create a network image of the system either using the Microsoft Remote Installation or now known as Microsoft Windows Deployment Services which is now able to image Windows Vista. Then it would be time to install the software, which nearly always included, Office 2003, Office 2007,Acrobat Reader or Foxit Reader as a PDF editor add-on is available for this program. Other applications I installed at ORS were Autodesk Architectural Desktop 2007, Sage Line 50 V10, and MacAfee Enterprise Anti-Virus.Furthermore I was responsible for insuring all the printers were configured correctly at that only certain users could print to certain printers to help reduce waste prints and save ink/toner.
