Experienced finance professional with commercial skills and a keen personal interest in science and engineering.My experience has given me the opportunity to broaden my skills across the whole financial sphere in my role on the Executive Leadership Team - be it in relation to M&A activity, Corporate Finance transactions (debt and convertible instruments, equity open offers and equity placings), internal and external financial reporting.I have a wealth of experience of stakeholder management. Working in the oil and gas industry during the last few years of volatility has resulted in the need for rapid reactions and crisis management at times. I have worked closely with executive management, directors, shareholders, advisors and auditors to come to mutually agreeable solutions to sensitive and complicated issues. This has helped me to develop and demonstrate business acumen and analytical and problem-solving skills. Recently I developed tools and processes to forecast, control and monitor the expenditure on a $45m capital project, ensuring that my team could provide accurate real-time information to the board to facilitate their decision making. Prior to that, a key focus was to design and execute financial due diligence processes prior to an acquisition, before then moving to leading the post acquisition integration of the finance and reporting functions of two listed businesses. I have enjoyed leading teams that are physically dispersed, be it because they are working internationally or, more recently, as a result of remote working. I enjoy working across borders, the challenges of learning about different working cultures, regulatory backdrops and building new relationships. So far during my career, I have operated in the Isle of Man, the UK, the US, Australia and the Caribbean.
