I've been through the classic retail school, starting at 16 on a checkout and working my way through many different roles. My latest retail adventure has taken me to Australia where I am a Regional Manager for Coles in Melbourne.I love the pace of retail, having to make decisions quickly, relying on experience and instinct to do the best you can. The people are amazing; hard working, caring, passionate, in a world that is often very challenging. I work hard at my own leadership skills and feel that lifelong learning is the key to a great career.Retail is simple. Look after your colleagues and give them the freedom to look after your customers. The numbers always follow :)
