As a Strategic Finance Manager, my role has expanded to include coverage for SeatGeek's Full Stack primary rightsholder partnerships. In addition to serving as a marketplace for secondary tickets, and featuring its own internal resale business (which I continue to support, as I did in my time as a Senior Analyst), SeatGeek also partners with rightsholders to serve as the primary ticketer. These partnerships include rightsholders in the NBA, NHL, NFL, and MLS. I created a bottoms-up budgeting structure for more than 50 client partners. Additionally, I serve on SeatGeek's Investor Relations team, which includes preparation for the company's path to an Initial Public Offering. My IR duties include assisting with the quarterly investor letter and mock earnings call script, along with aiding in model & slide deck content for external banking stakeholders.

As a Senior Strategic Finance Analyst, I served as the main internal business partner for SeatGeek's internal inventory resale sector, Every Fan Tickets. I created a bottoms-up forecasting & budgeting structure for the sector's various inventory deals, and established routine reporting & performance analysis. I built relationships with myriad stakeholders across SeatGeek, including Business Development, Product, Trading, and Account Management.

As a Senior Finance Associate for Black Bear Sports Group, a Blackstreet Capital Holdings Private Equity firm subsidiary, I focused on financial planning & analysis. My responsibilities included budget preparation for our various entities, along with new acquisition diligence & forecasting. I also assisted with the process of obtaining financing for our new acquisitions. Internally, I collaborated with the Black Bear team to help prepare corporate strategy presentations and also prepared investor communication materials.

As a Senior Accountant, I aided in the implementation of a revenue tracking system that allowed the finance team to work with the development department to track contribution revenues in a more organized and efficient fashion. The Association receives contributions with myriad restrictions; money designated strictly for research, solely for education, etc. This system allowed both the finance and development teams to track gifts faster and more efficiently. I also worked with the CFO and VP of Finance to create budget, forecast, and strategic planning reports that are essential to our CEO, Board of Regents, and other executive decision-makers. Additionally, I coordinated with the Association's federated chapters across the country and assisted them with any financial concerns, as well as worked with them on revenue share and profit & loss reports. I also collaborated with auditors during our fiscal year end to ensure that they received everything they needed for the audit engagement to run as smoothly as possible.

During my time as a Staff Accountant, I focused on properly recording contribution revenue. I was also responsible for reconciling general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliations for our various bank accounts. I ensured that our month and year-end closing procedures were in order, and I prepared monthly department financial reports (along with traditional financial statements) that allowed department heads to view a snapshot of how their department was doing financially and compare it to their budget. When I arrived at the ALS Association, the company was months behind closing the books, and I assisted with speeding up that process. I enhanced the closing process by helping to eliminate the months-behind lag time.

As a Staff Auditor, I worked with audit teams typically comprised of 3-6 people, to perform year end audits on various clients. Calibre audits mainly non-profit organizations, employee benefit plans, and labor unions. I worked with the finance teams on various clients to conduct testing of different areas of their reported financials; cash, accounts payable, contribution revenue, and payroll. I worked with all levels of the clients’ finance team, from accounts payable and payroll personnel to CFOs and Treasurers, to ensure that our audit team was receiving everything that it needed. This experience was invaluable to me; I was able to learn how these organizations functioned (I previously had very little to no knowledge of these types of organizations), I greatly improved my interpersonal communication skills, and I received a solid introduction to the world of financial accounting.
