After spending years working in the trades (mainly as a painter) and as a social worker I've decided to transition into the field of tech. I completed a tech course through LaunchCode a number of years ago and have recently found my way back into the world of tech by working with a mentor one on one at The Code Formula. I enjoy learning programming languages and using my problem solving skills, and I find that coding is a good fit for my personality.How my past experience will help with my future in techI am excellent at building interpersonal relationships and get along with everyone. I love problem solving and I have worked to solve problems in every one of my previous positions.Coding is a passion. I've learned to code in my free time between a full time job and raising two kids as a single dad.The world will always need software engineers as technology continues to change and develop.Currently I am working on building my own website.Team PlayerI believe that working in a team is vital.
