I am an Engineering Geologist for Intial Ltd. based in Auckland. My qualifications and technical background are based in Engineering Geology mapping, rock and soil interpretation, and slope stability analysis. My career to date has broadly applied these skills over different sectors including infrastructure, land development, water, power and environmental engineering. More recently I have been working in site based roles with high levels of collaborative design delivery across major alliance and more typical contract environments.My experience includes field investigations, project management, slope stability analysis, appraisals, foundation recommendations, environmental assessment and various levels of reporting from small residential projects through to large infrastructure engineering projects. My engineering design knowledge has been strengthened through further study into Geomechanics, and application through design of retaining walls, tie-back anchors, and recommendation of geo-mesh/soil nail slope stabilisation measures. Specific projects I have been involved with include:Engineers Representative - for two contracts of a premium high end residential development, role includes contract management, design verification and contract management.Rockfall stability and safety assessments - site team lead for major roading and infrastructure development in high risk construction environments.Detention Dam's - geological mapping, field investigations, feasibility assessment, and geotechnical input to foundation designWind Farm's - geological mapping and field investigations followed by geotechnical input to foundation designQuarry Assessments - geological mapping, grade assessment, batter stability and general recommendations for future works.
