About Ben Russo

Former teacher turned culture builder. Over the years, I've learned tons about events, onboarding, L&D, internal communication, employee engagement, and many other things that make up this concept that we call culture through helping to scale UserTesting from 50 to or so employees in one location to 1,000 employees globally and an IPO.     In 10 short months:- Led the creation of a culture of continuous feedback by rolling out company-wide performance reviews and enabling employees and managers to have continuous check ins through a variety of workshops centered around bi-directional feedback.- Upleveled our benefit offerings.     - Continued to partner closely with the CEO and Executive Team to ensure that we were preserving an amazing culture and employee experience as we grew from 350 to 1,000 employees and expanded globally- Developed an overarching global L&D strategy and created and delivered over 20 L&D programs which improved our L&D engagement scores by 36%- Created and oversaw a mentorship program in which 20% of employees were matched up in internal mentorships- Built and facilitated a manager onboarding program which set our new managers up for success and improved our management engagement scores by 22%- Worked with external vendors to bring in coaching and development programs such as LifeLabs, Bravely, and Sounding Board- Created and managed a performance management process which combined goal setting and performance reviews that tied into compensation and promotions which was utilized by 98% of the company

(98% participant satisfaction score)- Designed, rolled out, and oversaw a company-wide intranet which was used by 97% of employees as a one-stop shop for all internal information- Developed and produced our monthly company-wide All Hands Meetings- Created an employee listening strategy and facilitated and managed surveys, as well as expected actions and follow through from managers and senior leadership- Developed and wrote a weekly newsletter which was a one-stop shop for all of our internal news, programs, events, and celebrations- Ran social events for hundreds of employees such as holiday parties and company kickoff
