OGS is a specialty composting company that recycles food waste into high quality soil amendments called Worm Casting, and a liquid product called Vermi-Brew. Both products drastically reduce the need for harmful chemical fertilizers and provide a wide range of other environmental benefits, all while offering superior results at a low cost. We're currently have two locations: Central Texas and Charleston, SC.As a founder of the company, my responsibilities range from managing our financial structure and book keeping, building relationships with hundreds of prospects in Central Texas, and designing operational processes and improving efficiencies.

Clean Energy Associates (CEA) is an independent consulting firm providing businesses, utilities, regulatory and other government agencies, consumers and advocacy organizations with expert knowledge of technical and policy issues surrounding distributed renewable generation.During my internship there I was able to gain experience in the renewable energy industry by working on a wide range of projects: *Played a major role in building a model to calculate how different combinations of wind and solar generation resources could maximize synergies in remote locations with limited transmission lines for client Austin Energy, which had a significant impact in their renewable portfolio development strategy.*Very involved in a project for the Department of Energy and CH2M Hill, where we created a systematic methodology to determine realistic photovoltaic installation targets for cities chosen to participate in the “Solar America Cities” program. *Helped finish an ongoing project for Austin Energy which evaluated potential solar energy production available from existing roof space in Travis County.*I also worked on a number of other projects including writing RFPs for solar development projects for school districts.

Bike and Build raises money and awareness for affordable housing needs across the country through multiple cross country bicycle trips. I participated in the North Carolina to San Diego route, and served as one of four trip leaders. Responsibilities included (but were not limited to) fund raising, managing the trip budget, securing lodging for all 30 riders in the group, soliciting food donations, conducting safety meetings, and route planning.
