Had my first foray into entrepreneurship while at university where I delved into filmmaking as a freelancer and eventually started a boutique production house in Queenstown; Diaries Downunder. Soon after co-founding Syrp in 2012 during the then booming DSLR market; we became New Zealand's first successful crowdfunding campaign launched in the US with the launch of the Genie - Motion Control Device.By 2015 we were a team of 25 across R&D, Marketing, Sales and Customer Service. Working mostly on Sales & Marketing side, I led the growth of our distribution network to over 150 dealers in 30+ countries as well as setup multi-site ecommerce and Amazon FBA in key regions in Asia, US and Europe. Managed a highly efficient creative team internally to deliver successsful brand campaigns and product launches bringing new technology products to market and following through with activation of sales network. In 2019 we were eventually acquired by the Vitec Group.Now working as Vitec Imaging Solutions Content Director helping to bring new products to market with effective digital campaigns across all media and developing divisional content marketing strategy.
