I have extensive experience advising clients in international arbitration disputes across a range of sectors including energy, mining and technology. I have represented both States and commercial parties in investment treaty claims. I successfully represented the Republic of Kenya in ICSID arbitration proceedings brought by investors in the mining sector. I have also represented, among others, Lithuania, Zambia and Hungary, as well as international organizations including UNHCR and INTERPOL. I also sit as an arbitrator and am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of ArbitratorsI advise investors, particularly in emerging markets, on the structuring of their investments to benefit from protections available in international law under bilateral and multilateral investment treaties.I am passionate about rule of law, and I have worked on a number of pro bono initiatives to build capacity in this area.
