Ben is an Environmental Project Lead within Orica's Environmental Remediation team. Ben spent 10 years in consulting roles for ERM and URS in Australia and the UK prior to commencing as an Environmental Project Lead with Orica where he has lead the first full-scale implementation of in-situ thermal desorption remediation conducted in Australia. This was just part of his delivery of the $35M remediation of a former manufacturing site in Melbourne that is now nearing completion. Whilst managing this project, Ben also provides technical advice to the Orica business related to environmental matters in support of operating sites, due diligence for mergers, acquisitions and divestments and joint venture partnerships. Prior to joining Orica, Ben was a Senior Environmental Consultant with ERM in Melbourne where in addition to managing a diverse range of contaminated land investigation and remediation projects he also had team and and operations leadership responsibilities. Ben's role at URS was Senior Environmental Consultant within the Soil and Groundwater Services Team in London where he managed the assessment and remediation of a portfolio of retail petroleum sites across the UK.
