In addition to my responsibilities as team lead, I have taken on some additional challenges.I created training material for new and existing hires, orchestrated critical framework upgrades for several large scale production websites, and audited our application security resulting in a prioritized plan of tasks that our team could review and address.In addition, I began working more closely with application architects and our DBA to design and build new data layer systems aimed at addressing long standing technical debt and creating a better foundation for new services.I worked closely with our product management and quality teams, refining our agile approach to better fit our unique department wide cycles.As the primary subject matter expert on the team, I continued to build documentation (internal and external facing) while also reviewing existing published works to ensure they are up to the latest feature standards.Best of all, I got to watch my team grow into expanded roles as several of my direct reports were promoted into areas of expertise for their crucial contributions to our many projects.

I supervise day-to-day operations for the Event Management development team at Ungerboeck. Work includes a variety of tasks, including project planning, requirements gathering, building QA test plans, fostering communication between departments, assigning out stories/bugs to team members, identifying and removing team road blocks, working to align individual interests with company goals, and creating a vision my team can work towards. In addition, I enhance and maintain large portions of the enterprise application code we are responsible for, peer review others work, push for better department policies, architect solutions for new projects, document existing features and processes, and serve as a subject matter expert on the features my team owns.
