This position was one of the most valuable experiences of my life so far.*Prior to the expedition, myself and others committed to organising and getting involved in various fundraising activities that helped to fund our journey over a period of three years in preparation.When in Tanzania, we engaged in many community-rebuilding projects such as rebuilding the foundations of structurally floored primary school buildings, preventing them from collapsing - While on site, we would interact with locals who were attending the schools and exchange cultures with them, creating an amazing bond between ourselves and those we were aiding. It was a real privilege to see how our work was really making an impact on the lives of children in the area. Furthermore, we were given the opportunity to lead project days and manage the teams we were working in, helping me to develop leadership and project management skills, as we were required to motivate our peers and ensure progress was being made at a suitable rate.Additionally, we worked on the coastline helping to preserve dying reefs by constructing reef conservation units (Reefballs) that provide new habitats for local ecosystems!

In this position I was required to collect real time Data regarding lap times and finishing positions for competitors on track as they crossed the finish line.My data was prepared for system entry and published for the general public to view, alongside being used as hard evidence when results were questioned by competitors.I also was required to analyse various data points to check correspondence with the system and validate their authenticity.

During this internship, I was required to handle multiple sensitive tasks regarding the general public.Primarily, I helped to deal with walk-in queries and general retail, but I was also involved in packaging prescriptions with absolute accuracy and handing them out to their recipients.Additionally, I upheld patient confidentiality while accessing databases containing information concerning patient conditions and illnesses.
