Following a successful four months of temping on a one month rolling contract, I have signed a permanent contract with the Web team at Robert Dyas. My responsibilities in my new role include adding new products to the Robert Dyas website, editing current information on the website, adding meta information to products to increase search engine hits, liaising with the trading team in order to ensure their products are correctly represented on the web as well as producing suitable copy for our products that appeals to our customers.

Leatherhead, Surrey

I worked for four months on a temporary contract as a Buying Administrator for Robert Dyas, a chain of ironmongery stores. My primary responsibility was to assist the trading in administrative tasks, which often included processing and organising new products through the use of Microsoft Excel and JDA, a data storage system. I was part of a team responsible for applying transportation safety information to new and existing products in our data storage system. The project was very successful and I will be co-heading a meeting in January to ensure that safety information continues to be applied to new products in the future

Gannochy Sports Centre

I taught recreational trampoline gymnastics classes for children aged seven years and over. The classes were designed to act as an introduction to the sport.

Scotstoun Sports Centre

For six years I coached competitive trampoline gymnastics to children aged nine and above as well as adult gymnasts. In this role I was able to contribute to club development as well as provide support to gymnasts during competitive events.

Over the last eight years I have held a variety of customer service and manual labour roles in order to support my studies. Within these roles I have been responsible for cash handling, food and beverage service, shop supervision, cleaning and tidying service areas, child supervision and set up and de-rig of technical equipment. I have worked independently and as part of a team within these roles and have experience of working weeks often consisting of 50+ hours.
