Responsible for the entire finance function of a five hospital cancer specialty provider system. This includes a central business office, five hospitals, five physician groups, and a significant corporate office operation. Major accomplishments so far include: • Centralization of Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Accounting in 2017.• Refinanced CTCA's senior debt facility, which closed July 2016.• Increased the available credit under previous debt facility, December 2015.• Introduced the first forecast-driven budget for the fiscal year 2017, cutting approximately 33% of the time from our traditional budgeting process.

As VP of Finance, I am responsible for five primary functions within the corporate finance team:• Accounting Services - records all corporate office transactions and provides consolidated reporting for CTCA. Also includes Accounts Payable and Payroll.• Reimbursement – handles the traditional role of third-party reserves, reporting and audit support. • Decision Support – provides ongoing analysis of revenue, reimbursement, cost and other clinical-financial business trends.• Revenue Cycle – includes the centralized management of CTCA's hospital and professional corporations’ Chargemasters as well as a recently enhanced denials management program. • Financial Planning – working closely with Decision Support, we have developed the foundations of a rolling forecast model in Anaplan to supplement traditional budgeting.Working together within the department and with our regional hospital finance teams, we have achieved several major initiatives to date, including: • Chargemaster Standardization• Strategic Pricing• Cost Accounting System Implementation• Budget Process Improvement Project• AllScripts EPSi Implementation• Bundled Pricing for Comprehensive Evaluation and Treatment Plan• QlikView Dashboards for Revenue and Reimbursement Analysis

My responsibilities can be summarized into three categories.1) Regulatory reporting - I oversee all government and private payer reporting. This includes Medicare cost reports (hospital and home office), Medicaid cost reports, Champus reimbursement requests, and recent wage index projects.2) Contracting - I oversee the analysis of proposed and existing contracts for CTCA hospitals and physician groups. 3) Decision Support - My team tries to blend financial and clinical data so that it can be used internally for better decision making.
