I am Trustee responsible for Finance and Policies. With the rest of the board we oversee the running of the charity, and ensure the safety of our staff and the end users of the programmes we offer. Splash aims to bring the Gospel to children and young people in our area through assemblies, holiday clubs and working in partnerships with the local churches.

Billingshurst, West Sussex

I am currently the youth worker for St Mary's. This means that I am responsible for running and activity for the 11+ age group within the church. At the moment we have a bible study group that meet on a Wednesday, an open access group on a Friday, and Sunday morning session during the service. I have also been working to develop relationships with other organisations. Since starting my role I have been able to get involved with more that the church is doing, and I am now taking on an evening service once a month for "deeper worship".

Billingshurst & Pulborough

When I started this role I was based in Horsham town, but also covered the District when help was needed. This role was formed for a placement while I studied at Moorlands College to get my degree. After the first year in Horsham, I changed role to be working St Mary's Church, but this included hours funded to work in the Community as well, and so I worked alongside the Billingshurst and Pulborough Community Youth Worker. Since the 1st June 2015 I have taken the role of Billingshurst and Pulborough Community Youth Worker to provide the community with sustainable youth work and develop the work that has been put in place by my predecessor.

West Sussex

While serving on this board, we have worked as a team to navigate the charity through a difficulty patch. Unfortunately this ended up with the charity reaching a position which was no longer financially viable, and led to us closing the charity down in August 2018. Before it’s closure the charity supported young people across West Sussex in a variety of ways using work experience opportunities. While the charity has ceased operation, the board remain at this time for final elements of closure, and to see thing through to completion.

I have completed my degree with Moorlands and have attained a BA Hons Degree in Applied Theology with Youth and Community Work including JNC.

I was in charge of all the youth work for the church, including planning and running a sports camp for 45 young people, and arranging for 3 churches to go to a festival called Soul Survivor. There were many other aspects to the job, however these are just a few parts.

I was mainly involved in selling contact phones to customers, either business, or personal. I was also involved with helping customers who had technical difficulties with their phones, and aiding those with queries relating to their contracts.
