Develop specific objectives and strategies to maintain an effective safety program that complies with federal, state and local safety regulationsConduct comprehensive on-site safety assessments of projects as part of constant monitoring process.Responsible for Coordinated lockout tagout and confined space entry responsibilities for outages and refinery expansion projects. Environmental compliance through HAZMAT, DEP and client standards. Authorized OSHA instructor and competent person for construction and industrial hazards. Experienced in industrial hygiene analysis for noise, lead, silica, asbestos, acids, and numerous organic toxins.Maintain documentation for the safety manual, emergency management plane and substance abuse policies All site safety management aspects including development of written programs, employee training, site compliance and safety liaison with host employers. Manage and create Safety and Health Programs for Sargent ElectricParticipate in investigating all accidents resulting in recordable, lost time injuries or major property, liability or equipment damage; produces investigative reportsRecommend and enforce disciplinary actions against safety policy violationsManaged more than 5 safety professionals along with and up to 300 craft workersSupervises work in Steel Mills, Oil Refineries, Chemical Processing Plants, Power Distribution Plants, Manufacturing Plants, and Commercial and Residential Job Sites
