“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6 As a financial advisor, I help my clients steward their finances with wisdom, recognizing that God is ultimately the One who establishes our paths. I see my role for the families I serve as part coach, part teacher, and part friend. My team and I start with the dreams and goals our clients bring to our conversations, then craft comprehensive financial plans tailored to them. We strive to equip our clients with the knowledge and tools they need, both to achieve their goals and to protect against unforeseen events. After nearly twenty years at Northwestern Mutual, I still love getting up every morning to serve my clients as their financial advisor. At the beginning of my career, I never could have anticipated where my path would lead me. For most of my early life, my ambitions were focused on baseball. I was fortunate enough to pitch in the New York Yankees organization for several years. I then returned to school to finish my bachelor’s degree with ambitions of becoming a college baseball coach. As my family grew, however, I recognized that the lifestyle of a college coach, with long stretches on the road, was not what I desired for my wife and kids. As always, God provided a way forward. Thanks to the encouragement of Jay Dixon, I saw how I could apply the talents I had honed as an athlete and a coach in the financial services industry. My passion for growing and developing people has remained the connecting thread throughout my entire career. While my days were once spent empowering students to become stronger baseball players, they’re now spent equipping executives, professionals, and leaders to become stronger financial decision makers. Family has always been driving force for me. I’ve been married to my wife Tammy since 1993. We are blessed beyond measure by our three adult children, Connor, Carly, and Carter; our daughter-in-law Britainy; and our beautiful granddaughter Adella.
