I am a highly experienced and passionate Project Management and Architectural Professional with wide ranging sector experience across Australia, the UK and Uganda. I have over the 25 years of experience and I am proud of my career achievements. I have gained invaluable knowledge and experience whilst being part of a team and also whilst leading a team in delivering projects, start to finish, on my own.I have played an integral part in a number of award-winning sustainable projects for a wide range of communities. I have specialised in developing socially, environmentally and economically sustainable solutions to the challenges communities face. I have worked with institutional and local communities through comprehensive engagement and participation to develop strategic plans that guide improved management and utility of their land, buildings and operations.I am the author of a number of publications and research on sustainable and high-performance design and lead a Masters course in High Performance Design at the UNSW. I have also engaged in voluntary and other pro-bono work including the position of Trustee and Chair of Strategy for the (Desmond) Tutu Foundation UK. As the Project Manager I also led the Ubuntu Round Tables Project for the Foundation.At FCB Studios I was architect for an ultra- low carbon and low-cost new office and factory for Neal’s Yard Remedies. As well as a new low-carbon community public pool in Formby, England. This project was the winner of the Wood Awards and it was described by judges as “transcendental in its simplicity”. With Hector Abrahams Architects, I have also provided strategic advice for a number of sustainability and community projects, including the CSIRO. I also led the design and research team in the practice.I am a member of the Australian Institute of Architects National Climate Change and Sustainability Task Force Expert Reference Group and sit on the management committee of the Architectural Science Association. From 2014 to 2020 I was a Trustee and Chair of Strategy for the (Desmond) Tutu Foundation UK. In Australia I have been the convenor of the Cana Community homeless shelter at Christchurch St Laurence since 2019 and advise the Anglican Diocese of Melbourne through a number of committees.
