About Ben Sloan

As a Master's student in Electrical Engineering at Columbia University, I am dedicated to advancing biomedical imaging technologies, with a focus on Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Magnetic Resonance Elastography (MRE). My goal is to leverage my technical skills to drive innovation and enhance patient outcomes by linking qualitative patient information with quantitative anatomical data. I am committed to pushing the boundaries of biomedical engineering and intervention, striving for excellence, and improving the quality of life through advancements in medical imaging. My passion for research began at Saint Louis University, where I co-founded a radiation-oriented research club. This initiative led to an internship with the Department of Defense, where I gained hands-on experience in particle physics and ionizing radiation. After the internship, at Saint Louis University, I was elected as a team leader and tasked with developing and executing a Total Ionizing Dose, transistor-level radiation testing procedure.
