I’ve never been one to accept the status quo. And it’s always been important to me to push the boundaries of possibility in a quest for excellence and best practice. So although I trained as a Commercial Builder over 25 years ago, it was always unlikely that this would be where my career would remain.I did my time as a carpenter and builder, learning and observing all the required skills, but more importantly taking note of what mattered most to the clients we served. Most building companies could build well, but not many could do it on the client’s terms or in a way that created minimal disruption to their daily business. So I founded Fixed Group, a construction, refurbishment and maintenance company that primarily serviced the commercial sector. I applied all that I had learnt about client service and developed innovative building processes that enabled works to be undertaken to live environments. Fixed Group is now firmly the industry specialist for the delivery of projects to live building and commercial environments, all while the client continues normal operation of its regular commercial activities. But I knew I could do more. The expertise we developed in this sector was surely applicable to other industries so I searched for new opportunities to extend the business.  What I discovered was an entire industry based on live, real-time processes where accuracy and attention to detail were critical. Regardless of where the next challenge leads me, I will always retain my focus on the client and their needs. This is ultimately what has led to the success I have already enjoyed with the Fixed team. Stay tuned.
