Ben is leading Ed. Korea, locally independent (re)insurance brokerage firm with 16 of his colleagues.Ben has 32 years of insurance industry experiences. Prior to opening this firm, Ben was Executive Managing Director of HIS(Former, Heath Lambert Korea) brokerage in Korea, mainly responsible for reinsurance division(P&C, Engineering, Cargo, Hull, P&I and Treaty). He joined HIS in October 2006, after spending 2 years time in Aon Korea, when HIS had only 6 employees, and dedicated himself for 13 years in HIS, during which he contributed to develop the company by almost 30 times bigger in terms of revenue wise.Ben began his industry career in 1990 as an Average Adjuster in Marine Insurance and experienced in Property, Casualty underwriting at International Fire & Marine. Also, worked in Miller Korea and Aon Korea, where he learned how to work in insurance brokerage.His specialty was on mainly reinsurance as he spent most of his career doing reinsurance brokerage. Now that he set up new local broker in May 2019 doing both reinsurance and retail, Ben has been more focusing on retail business not only for Corporate Biz but for financial institutions(IB Banks, Asset Management, PEF, etc.). His impressive track record of providing clients ranging from listed insurance companies and corporations to SMEs with bespoke and top-tier (re)insurance solutions is keeping with Ed Korea’s specialty capability and ambitions.
