I left the UK for The States in November 1968. In the next fifteen years, based in Los Angeles I negotiated recording contracts, music publishing deals, arranged Fine Art Gallery Exhibitions, and firmed up contracts for poster publishing, fabric printing and fashion lines which sold thru May company. I also developed in co-operation with others a residential real estate portfolio consisting of small apartment buildings in the Wilshire Corridor of Los Angeles.In the later part of this period, I became familiar with the stories of Benjamin Benedict who was being published in San Diego at that time.On returning to the UK in August 1983, I concentrated on residential real estate for the next twenty four years, but on a visit to Los Angeles came across a man who had several of Mr Benedicts manuscripts stored in his garage, and in early 2006 having tracked down the author (on the South American Continent) and worked out an arrangement, I had these manuscripts converted into PDF's and exibited on a website www.benjaminbenedict.com. The audio versions on benbenbooks.com soon followed.In early November 2009 one of Benedict's stories ('&') became a play which was staged at The Met Theatre in Los Angeles. A video trailer of the show will shortly be seen on Utube.Since the begining of 2009, I have also been developing a website, bwleader.com which concerns the life and work of renown, Victorian landscape artist, B W Leader. The public reaction to this site has been extremely gratifying and it now features B W Leader paintings held by some seventeeen art galleries and museums around the world, plus over thirty of his works owned by private collectors.. There is also comprehensive biographical imformation and a family archive section. The average viewer spends about five minutes on the site, which given that he or she is not searching to buy anything is a phenomenal statistic and demonstates the public's continued love affair with this prolific artist's work.Specialties: Inovative corporate promotion and sales direction.
