I recently graduated from Franciscan University with my Bachelor of Science in business management in May 2020. I have been landscaping in my family business since we began mowing lawns when I was 10. Through this, I have developed considerable experience in organization, management, customer relations, sales, and effective communication. I took over operational control of our family business at age 16 and was able to increase revenue and nearly double profit in just two years. Although we began with lawn mowing, my family business no longer mows lawns and is solely landscaping oriented. From this I have learned extensively how to estimate, plan, manage, and efficiently complete projects. I have also been able to learn how to manage employees and interact with customers ensuring that there is no loss of communication and the customer’s needs are effectively met.
