About Ben Stansfield

I am currently obtaining my PhD in Genetics at the University of Arizona. I have experience in large scale bioinformatic analysis (scRNA-Seq, RNA-Seq, Whole Genome Sequencing, Whole Exome Sequencing, CRISPR screening, proteomics, as well as general genetic tools such as plasmid design, molecular cloning, CRISPR gene editing ect. I am currently working on understanding the role of NRF2 in Cancer, identifying essential genes for HLRCC tumor cell survival as well as method development to identify genome wide mutational events as they occur. I will be graduating in 2025 and looking to seek employment utilizing the multitude of transferable skills I have developed during my PhD. I am specifically interested in life science consulting, general consulting roles, bioinformatics/computational biology and R&D.
