Within this role, I had oversight of Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Employee/Labor Relations, DEI, Performance Management, Training and Compensation.

As the HR Manager, I had oversight of the Employment Division of MCTS which includes but is not limited to; Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Compensation, Training and HRIS.

As the Senior HR Generalist, I provided support to all areas of the HR department with emphasis on employee relations, supervisory training and analytics. I also served as a Business Partner, and worked very closely with supervisors, managers and directors of all departments.

As the HR Manager, I provided support to all aspects of HR with an emphasis on the Weatherization program. This included but was not limited to recruitment, onboarding, talent and performance management, translation/interpretation and HRIS administration. Within this position I worked a great deal with managers and program directors on reorganizations, improvement of workflow and communication processes.

As the Employment Coordinator, I recruited for a number of positions including sales, customer service, light industrial, manufacturing and the service industry. The majority of these positions required the employee to be bilingual in English and Spanish. Within this, role I worked with many local employers to screen and assess prospective employees to ensure a good fit for both the employee and employer. On average, I worked with approximately 50 companies and roughly 500 job seekers per year.

YouthBuild is a DOL program that provides on-the-job training of carpentry and other construction related skills, and helps participants obtain their High School Diploma or GED. Within this position, I was responsible for the recruitment and retention of all participants that were 18-24yrs old with no H.S. diploma and low-income. Additionally, I developed, implemented and facilitated orientations, created Employment Development Plans and connected participants to necessary resources. Most importantly, I worked with area employers to place participants in employment after completion of the program.

Within this role, I was responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of minority students into Associate Degree programs. Once enrolled, I provided retention services for students and served as a liaison between advisors and program counselors. Additionally, I assisted with recruitment, enrollment and retention of students into ESL courses at WCTC’s secondary campus.
