For the past eleven years I have been in glass manufacturing of double and triple glazed windows. I have worked two different shifts Days and Mids, also overtime across all three shifts supporting the company. During this time I have spent five years operating a large selection of production machines throughout the factory, five years as a supervisor and process leader overseeing the factory from start to finish across two shifts am and pm. Processing scheduled orders onto the shop floor into Kan Bans, distribute for production into a cutting plant of three 3x2 cutting tables, 6x3 , hand cut and a laminate tables, two automatic arrissing lines and one manual. Toughening plant holding a gas and electric furnace, edge polisher, spray booth and the completion of Kan Bans before moving on for dgu sealing section. Sealed units organizing material processing for production, operations of three sealed unit production lines ensuring that maximum production is running to deliver completed and quality inspected orders into dispatch where products are packed with final inspections and completed to customer deadlines. Supporting quality identifying route causes man, machine and training.Identifying bottleneck ares and training to encourage a multi-skilled force. Daily and weekly TPM's are carried out, liaising with transport and maintenance to gain the best results. Working in a 5's environment, improving and setting area standards.Health and Safety plays a large role in this high risk environment, so regular audits are vital along with continuous improvements to safety across the site. Motivating and helping the team identify and report hazards seeing results to our environment. Maintaining discipline throughout the factory floor in a professional manner, checks and active monitoring of PPE, Standard operating procedures and fire audits are essential along with daily KPI's
