Ben Steer is a music industry professional, having spent his lifetime in the music business. From a young age, he worked for all of the major record labels in positions that varied from marketing to promotion, to A&R. Ben worked for a number of years for INXS, as well as running his own management company where he was managing acts from hip-hop to country and everything in between (not to mention selling well over 10 million records). Ben also co-founded Australia’s first music licensing business; Mana Music, which was responsible for music in many Australian films including ‘Two Hands’, ‘Priscilla, Queen of the Desert’ and ‘Muriel’s Wedding’.He is now the owner of Continuous Music, an online music business platform, which educates those already in, or wanting to break into the music industry. Ben is still teaching Entertainment Business Management at a number of tertiary institutions, as well as running a series of extremely successful face-to-face music industry workshops in Newcastle.
