The Kogan Creek Mine supports Australia’s most efficient and technically advanced supercritical power station, Kogan Creek Power station. The Golding scope of work includes all mining services; Coal Mine Operator, drill & blast, waste and coal mining, maintenance, dewatering/water management, and final landform rehabilitation. Contract Value: $400m+

This role presented an opportunity to be part of the Engineering and Development team in the Golding corporate (Brisbane) office reporting to the General Manager - Engineering & Development. The Engineering & Development team is responsible for estimating and tendering for existing and new work. Leaning on my operational knowledge of the Curragh Project, my primary focus was to provide input, analysis and review of the estimate and contract to secure an extension of the mining services contract with our long standing client Coronado Curragh Pty Ltd.

Project Manager for the safe and successful delivery of circa $600m mining services contract at the Curragh Mine for Coronado Curragh Pty Ltd. Whilst in this role I led the project team through a dynamic 3 year period of significant growth in contract scope and value. The services included; integrated mine planning, full operation and maintenance of varied ownership & supplied equipment supported by a team of approximately 500 personnel. Direct reports include a full compliment of functional line leaders including Safety Health Environment & Training, Maintenance, Production, and Technical Services.

A senior technical role within project team responsible for the delivery of a $30m mining services contract at the Broadlea Mine for the client Fitzroy Australia Resources . The scope of work included the recommencement of a brown field open cut mining operation through to mine rehabilitation and closure. Reporting to the Project Manager/SSE, I was responsible for surveying, short term design, short term scheduling, drill and blast contract management, and commercial analysis and reporting. Focused on delivering best for client outcomes this project was the catalyst for a promising partnership with Fitzroy Australia Resources which continued beyond Broadlea Mine project.
