Currently working as a Port Operator/Weighbridge Operator for Associated British Ports at Cardiff dock. Helping on all dock operations, ranging from operating heavy plant and machinery to achieve the safe and efficient handling of cargo, using forklift trucks up to 16 tonne and combi/side loader, gantry cranes and Mafi/shunter trucks, also trained in slinging, lifting, and signaling. Engage in the safe movement of cargo in storage areas, warehouses and on vessels. I undertake cleaning tasks and general maintenance duties associated with the efficient operation of the port. I comply with and assist in the development of Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work and ensure that all duties are undertaken in accordance with ABP’s safety policies and procedures.I also work in the weighbridge dealing with incoming/outgoing stock orders, emails to and from customers with queries and reports. I deal with inbound/outbound trucks, using Avery Weigh-Tronix Weighman8 software and SAP data processing. I use Destin8 to book ships into the dock, make sure the customs has been cleared then complete the outurn and outgate of the vessel. Creating and maintaining Excel stock spreadsheets accurately so customers know how much stock they have remaining.Also have over 15 years of experience in a range of retail roles and environments, including warehouse management, customer service, checkouts, and stock control.
