I have over 24 years’ experience in a wide variety of development planning and transport projects for both private and public sector clients. My expertise focuses on assessing the impacts of development proposals on the transport network for a variety of land-uses, including residential, commercial, leisure, and health related schemes, including the preparation of Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, and sustainable transport strategies, as well as providing the transport input into Environmental Impact Assessments. I also represent clients in negotiating with local highway authorities and Highways England and, where necessary, presenting evidence as an Expert Witness at planning inquiries and appeal hearings. I have a detailed working knowledge of national technical design guidance set out in the Manual for Streets and the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges and am fully familiar with planning policy guidance and transport circulars.
