I acted as sole Product Development Engineer on a start-up team that successfully brought a consumer oriented green technology from concept through to launch I was responsible for working in Solidworks to create CAD for injection molded, extruded and sheet metal components, iteratively prototyping the device to validate the functional requirements, and communicating with foreign manufacturers to oversee production runs

This summer internship piqued my passion for physical product design as I saw the opportunity to combine technical engineering, human psychology, and creativity to develop products that both make sense, and bring value to people's lives.Here I contributed to 5 products in a concept to creation design environment. I learned how to apply Solidworks and Rhino skills to real world designs. I gained hand on experience with 3D printers, from FDM to SLA and SLS.

Lyon, France

In 2017, I took initiative to obtain a government grant to pursue a research internship with an internationally known Energy and Vibrations laboratory at the INSA Lyon University.My experience working within the French laboratory taught me how to adapt to international work places, and work collaboratively across cultures, to solve technical problems.Here I researched energy harvesting products and patents, that absorb energy from the vibration of TRAMS (streetcars) and utilize it to power remote sensors within the vehicles.
