* Spearheads mechanical design concepts of significant projects* Champions the workflow and prioritization of tasks for designated projects * Provides technical mentorship and guidance to the engineering department* Gives input for R&D direction of the company* Writes SR&ED tax credit section of select projects* Develops product transfer SOPs and is highly involved in project management SOPs* Produces mechanical designs, including 3D modelling and manufacturing of machined, sheet metal, and moulded components, as well as integrating PCBs, wiring, low-pressure pneumatic systems, electro-mechanical devices, and sensors.

-Directs the concept and development of products as part of an interdisciplinary team. (E.g. work breakdown structure, writing requirements, directing product design)-Leads a small team in mechanical design, including detailed design of parts, assemblies, component selection, technical drawings, reviews, inspections, assembly and test instructions-Coordinates advanced external and internal technical support-Provides marketing with renderings and other 3D images and assists with product literature

-Coordinated and oversaw equipment development, from conception to final assembly-Acted as lead designer on new hardware products (three product lines)-Wrote standard operating procedures and grants-Supervised production technicians and engineering interns -Represented the company at ALA/ATS annual conference (1997 to 2009)

-Spearheaded the design, production, testing, and quality procedures of Scireq’s flagship product-Coordinated with suppliers for prototype and first production runs
