UNI Global Union is a global union federation for skills and services, gathering national and regional trade unions. Its more than 900 affiliated unions in 140 countries have 20 million members. I assist UNI Global Union on the implementation of the Accord for Fire and Building Safety in Bangladesh.As of 2014, this position was a joint one with both UNI Global Union and IndustriALL Global Union.

World Solidarity is the Non-Governmental Organisation of the Christian Workers Movement in Belgium. World Solidarity empowers and buid capacity of social movements that pursue decent work, social protection and job creation for all workers. Within World Solidarity I execute the advocacy strategies at Asian and International Level. Thematically this focussed on short-term contracts in the garment industry (Indonesia, Cambodia and Bangladesh) as well as rights for domestic workers.In june 2012 I also became acting coordinator for the Clean Clothes Campaign in Belgium. My main result in that position was to help develop the Accord for Fire and Building Safety in Bangladesh.

The United Nations Environmental Programme aims To provide leadership and encourage partnership in caring for the environment by inspiring, informing, and enabling nations and peoples to improve their quality of life without compromising that of future generations. I collaborated on a study exploring the role of young people within the Green Economy, based on UNEPs Green Economy Report and Green Economy Initiative.

The Social Sciences Unit of the ILVO aims to present and clarify on a scientific basis, the social choices concerning a sustainable and competitive Flemish agriculture and fisheries to policy makers. Within the Unit, I conducting research on the role of networks as a form of governance to facilitate innovation (transition) for Sustainable Development within the agri- and horticultural sector. Internally I’m also involved in capacity building on qualitative methods and academic development cooperation.
