I am pursuing dual degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Economics with an expected graduation in 2024. Post-graduation, I intend to pursue my passion for motorsports and build on my extensive experience in racing by identifying a race engineering employment opportunity. I have been involved in motorsports since seven years old. National level factory kart driver, moving into professional racing in F1600, USAC National Midgets and 410 Sprint Cars. I have worked as a kart mechanic/driver coach as a side business, as well as interning with Abel Motorsports in F3 Americas, Rahal Letterman Lanigan and Arrow McLaren SP in Indycar. I am the managing director of 100ft motor yacht "Canim", where I lead and oversee 10 employees, including hiring, training, scheduling, provisioning, and coordinating all repairs particularly the Cummins engines. This position funds my college career.

Professional Race car driver currently racing USAC Nonwing 410 Dirt Sprint Cars for Benic Enterprises/Goodnight Racing and FAST Winged 410 Sprint Cars for Sean Rayhall Motorsports. I started racing go-karts in 2007 at the East Lansing Kart Track in Lansing, MI. From there I had much success in reginal and national kart races, and eventually recieved the opportunity to further my career by moving into F1600 Formula cars. After a brief stint that included a pole position, fast time and being a finalist in the 2018 Lucas Oil Karts-2-Cars Shootout at Sebring Int'l Raceway, I made the jump to dirt and pavement oval midgets. After a year of racing for Mel and Don Kenyon, we finished third in the season championship, including two second place finishes on dirt and pavement. In 2021 I made the jump to USAC National Midgets where I finished top 10 in regional standings. 2022, we are set to start our first full season of USAC 410 Sprint cars on dirt.

Varner Driver Development was created to help young kart racers at my home track of East Lansing Kart Track develop their skills in and out of the kart, as well as help their families to understand kart setup/mechanic work. With this program, I help young kart racers with data and video analysis using the AIM karting software, as well as mechanic work, tuning and driver coaching.
