Profile bio

About Ben Viollet

I am a highly experienced Business Development Executive and Senior Operations Professional, with more than thirty years’ expertise gained working internationally in strategic leadership and technological roles. As you might expect, I have strong technical and market engagement capabilities: driving forward whilst at the same time fully supporting team members to meet or exceed even the most demanding of sales targets, as well as deducing data patterns and trends to inform executive decision making. Throughout my career I have been successful in building resilient and high-performing teams. In recognition of these personal qualities and depth of experience, I have been appointed to a number of board level positions: most recently, Area Vice President with Ring Central from 2020 to 2022; Regional Vice President: EMEA Partner Sales with Zendesk from 2019 to 2020; EMEA Channel Director at Veracode (2018 to 2019), and Distribution Director with Micro Focus from 2016 to 2018.With Zendesk, I served on the Executive Leadership Team and oversaw growth in partner contribution from 5% to 31% over a six quarter period (as well as consistently exceeding sales targets for the region); and as a Member of the 2021 and Beyond Planning Team, I helped deliver 40% growth over a three year period.I also successfully led a team of nineteen skilled members of staff, meeting the challenges of COVID and transitioning into a remote working environment (with Zendesk); and, as EMEA Channel Director at Veracode, I created a highly effective cross border strategy for sustainable EMEA expansion: with an added focus on territorial maturity and resource availability (enabling generation of a $2.1 Million sales pipeline). In terms of operational capabilities, as Area Vice President with RingCentral, I successfully streamlined sales pipelines as a platform for exponential growth: enhancing speed to market, growing partner networks, and creating strong and resilient support teams (doubling the number of channel managers); and at Micro Focus I oversaw a back-scaling project (post-merger), which resulted in reduced operating costs, with maintenance of full coverage and service levels.I also have advanced stakeholder and collaborative engagement skills and throughout my career was regularly entrusted with coaching and mentoring. Now retired from corporate life - I look forward to using these skills to assist individuals and organisations to effect personal and corporate change through Executive Coaching.Connect with me via InMail or at coaching.associates/ben-viollet
