Ben holds a Bachelor of Business Degree specializing in Finance and Marketing. In 2002, whilst still working in the financial industry, he trained and completed his first Singapore Marathon. Till today, he has completed multiple marathons and multi sports events locally and regionally. With his experience in Finance and his passion for sports, he understands and combines this knowledge to oversee and execute events effectively that makes positive sense for the company, partners and suppliers.After his first marathon, his lifestyle took a positive change. He was a founding committee member in 2003 of the Triathlon Family Club and started engaging and developing the membership database till 2005. Ben enjoys sharing his love affair with triathlons and running with the people he meets. He often encourages and supports his peers, friends and family members to take up some form of exercise. In 2007, he joined Hivelocity Pte Ltd and was part of the team that brought the Aviva Ironman 70.3 Triathlon Singapore and other races into Singapore. Ben was one of the four co-founders of HiVelocity. Till today, he is still swimming, cycling and running all over Singapore in his spare time and aiming for a great work life balance with his family of four.
