I have taught over 12,200 online English classes to 660 different students at Palfish, which is currently 6100 hours of teaching. I use a variety of teaching methods to encourage children to enjoy and develop their English skills. I regularly use games and songs to stimulate young learners, as well as phonics, free-talk, reading, picture discussion, comprehension, math, science, social studies and conversation courses to all primary levels. My approach to the lessons combines study with music, arts, movement, drama and games to create a fun and rewarding learning environment.

I am the author and teacher of an IELTS course which is designed for any–level student who wants to improve their English abilities, engage in daily conversation and correct their pronunciation. I am experienced in KET examination practice for reading & writing, listening and speaking and I have also prepared children for their mock middle school entrance examinations.I have used my material additionally with students who are enrolled at Palfish, as my free-talk lessons gives them a chance to experience a greater breadth of english. In this lesson, we generally introduce ourselves first. For example, where do you come from? What your hometown is like? What job do you do? Are you a student? What is your daily routine? What hobbies do you have? What do you usually do in your spare time? Are you happy? How many years have you studied English? and why do you want to study English? etc. The 25 minute lesson is used to evaluate a students English ability and therefore make a long-term and personalised English study plan for them.

In continuous consultation with all aspects of the business: from layout, design, food & beverage menu, promotion, management, accounting and longevity of the brand. I regard myself as a silent partner, as the business can run itself.

My role was to help the students speak English more fluently. I created suitable and interesting lessons which focused on speaking, reading and writing. I built well-structured lesson plans, station-studies, role-plays, worksheets, illustrated flash card and I set the scene so all my students were interacting with each other, myself and the material. I brought a variety of acoustic music into the classroom, which is an essential tool to encourage children to use English in a fun and friendly environment, as well as subconsciously developing their attention span. The realisation of my efforts was when I actually saw them progress and gain a fuller comprehension of the English language. My head of English regularly gave me excellent appraisal feedback.

Koh Tao, Thailand

I acted as guest relations officer at the Beach Resort: Sensi Paradise Thailand. It was my duty to greet guests upon arrival and to be able to pay attention to their needs and enquiries. I was approachable, well mannered and calm under pressure. As a wide range of people visited, it was necessary that I was always presentable and offered professional interpersonal skills. This role developed my ability to make quick decisions, positive thinking and to be a proficient risk manager. I was also recommended by guests on the website ‘Trip Advisor’ for my excellent customer service.

Koh Tao, Thailand

For 5 years I held the responsibility of Dive Master and Guest Relations at several dive resorts on the island of Koh Tao, Thailand. I led over a thousand dive expeditions within the coral reefs and cave networks of the open water. Before submergence, I would brief the party on health and safety, evacuation procedures, the underwater environment, navigation, communications and the expected conduct of the group (2-6 pax) during the dive. It was imperative that I was acutely aware of each individual’s air supply and a constant monitoring of this was critical. In effect, I was solely responsible for the safety of other adults in a potentially hostile environment.

The emphasis was on enjoyment; we played learning games in teams, improvised in drama classes, were creative and expressive with arts and crafts. Most importantly trust-building exercises encouraged children to use English in a fun and friendly environment. I believe that learning should be fun, productive and creative to keep the mind active and focused.

In the UK, I worked as a fund-raiser on behalf of Action Aid, Save the Children, Terrence Higgins Trust and other charities and non-profit organisations. As a face-to-face fundraiser my job was to engage with people around the cities of Bristol and Manchester, and therefore motivate them to subscribe and donate to that charity. The role developed my confidence in meeting new people, to stay calm under pressure and to be a good team player. After a year on the job, I was asked to be team leader in Manchester but I declined in order to go abroad
