During my four months at StantonPace, utilising a range of techniques including social networking, search/Google optimised content generation, and carefully targeted news topics I increased the site’s traffic by over 1000%. Throughout my time working on MotorbikeTimes and CaravanTimes I have been thoroughly hands on. My duties included sourcing and writing daily news and feature content, managing content uploads and HTML generation for the website. As well as visiting trade and consumer shows to take photographs and report on newsworthy topics, performing interviews with high profile subjects, such as Sir Ranulph Finnes, and assisting on several video shoots. Despite being a novice in both the fields of caravans and motorbikes at the start of my role here, in a short space of time I was able to become knowledgeable enough to research and write successful news, feature and reference content. The speed with which I picked up the key nuances of these topics was crucial in my ability to develop the role and produce valued content. I was internally recognised very quickly by the topic experts for how fast I picked it up. The experience I have gained during my time at StantonPace has given me an incredible insight into the workings and routes to build successful online content, utilising strategies that help build both relevant interest and traffic to go with it.
