1. Monitor and audit system performance by analyzing the usage of CPUs, memories, disks and networks to determine the performance bottlenecks.2. Optimize the system performance by adjusting applications or OS configurations, installing patches, debugging and refining users' shell scripts or upgrading servers hardware.3. Perform controlled switchover upon the HA cluster system to move services from the primary server to the secondary server in times of system failures or in the emergency drills (quarterly)4. Write, maintain and upgrade various documents including reports, requirements, guides, manuals, solutions, configurations, logs and records etc.5. Design and run series of courses and seminars to coach users and junior team members and advocate the use of technology across the company.

1. Design, update and execute routine plans to perform regular health checks upon OS, databases, applications, networks, storages, hardware status of system on daily, weekly and monthly basis to potentially prevent losses of availability. 2. Perform FS and database incremental backup (daily) and full backup (weekly) for the system. Restore the files, databases and FS in times of system failures or needs.3. Follow alerts from a pro-active monitoring system to perform fault diagnoses and troubleshooting at applications, databases, OS, network, hardware and storage levels to ensure the availability and stability of the system.4. Provide support and guidance (L2&L3) end users analysing, trouble shooting, problem-solving, investigating root cause to resolve technical issues at desktop, network and server hardware and software. Log and escalate issues with vendors for resolution if necessary.
