Ben Johnson is an Advancement Specialist at Secured Alliance, a support organization for affiliates Secured Futures and The Good Shepherd Fund, following in the footsteps of his grandfather who founded The Good Shepherd Fund in 1970 to provide dedicated care services for minors and adults with disabilities. Ben's early exposure to the Fund’s mission inspired his lifelong commitment to serving the special needs community. He brings a unique global perspective to his role, having lived in Japan for 15 years where he owned an English school and taught at universities. Fluent in Japanese, Ben joined Secured Alliance in April 2023, where he is responsible for facilitating new trust accounts and supporting the growth and outreach of Secured Futures and Good Shepherd Fund. A UCLA graduate with a degree in Philosophy and a Master’s in Humanities from Cal State Dominguez Hills, Ben is dedicated to continuing his grandfather's legacy of compassion and service. My grandfather taught me the value of service and compassion, and I carry that with me every day in my work. I'm proud to continue his legacy and to be part of an organization that strives to make a difference in the lives of others.
