I helped to drive user-centered innovation and design through the new product development process applying design methods to influence new products in form, function, and strategy. I used field research to validate new product concepts with users and to generate new ideas to fill the new product pipeline. I led the design effort and launched new key category products which hadn't been changed in 20+years and spearheaded the effort to develop and implement a new design language strategy in close collaboration with Marketing and Engineering. I helped plan and grow the design department and delivered monthly progress reports to company executives.

In addition, I helped to build and maintain a state of the art prototyping facility to produce high impact models of design concepts while continuing to learn and develop new methods for impactful and speedy model creation.

As the Industrial Design Co-Op for J&J Family of Consumer Companies I worked as a part of In-Store Strategy, an extension of the Global Strategic Design Office, to create new retail solutions for the consumer health care segment. I created compelling renderings and presentations based on shopper marketing insights and worked with the design director to develop meaningful merchandising solutions. I also worked with suppliers to determine cost, manufacture, and prototypes.
