I mentored junior developers and facilitated communication with headquarters.Major projects included:- Migrating the Engineering org from twice-monthly releases to CI/CD, by building a custom staging/release pipeline, developing a new testing strategy, and guiding the org through new best practices.- Reducing RDS and EC2 costs by 70%, through carefully assessing resource needs and building tools to reduce overhead.- Leading the engineering team on the brand-new "Year-View Planner" surface. We advised Product and Design as they scoped out the feature, built prototypes to explore options, and delivered this major release on schedule.

On a speech recognition team, I researched new methods of generating models, added more analytics information to model evaluation tools, and improved speed of model optimization MapReduce pipeline by 10x.On a machine learning team, I scaled up a single-machine clustering algorithm to a distributed pipeline, increasing the maximum number of computable clusters by 1000x.
