I'm a creative entrepreneur based in Detroit. In 2009, I co-created TextsFromLastNight.com. What began as a joke turned into a viral sensation as the site quickly gained popularity, leading to billions of page views, a book, inclusion into the Library of Congress, and a Webby Award. Nine years later, I co-founded Lafayette American, a Detroit-based creative agency. With my team, we have partnered with brands like Mazda, Netflix, StockX, Alphabet, Merrell, Ford, Stellantis, and won Lions, Effies, Pencils, and more along the way. In 2024 we won an AdAge Small Agency Award (Midwest Silver, to be precise). In 2022, I joined fellow enthusiasts to start a car club and online community called Out Of Office Garage, with a 26,000 sq/ft clubhouse located in Birmingham, MI. When not working on the above I'm: taking photos, trying to get to the gym earlier every day, exploring northern Michigan, shaving tenths off lap times in real and digital race cars, and digging into new areas of interest in all things tech, culture, and auto.For more, follow me on all socials at @benbator
