Since going to college in Denver, I have adapted to run the company remotely while thriving more than ever before. I have recently ramped up the company's marketing and advertisement strategies. MEDIA COVERAGE BOTTOM OF PAGE I decided to start MasksForNash after Nashville passed a mask mandate with a $500 fine for non-compliance. The worry was that lower-socioeconomic areas and the homeless population would be unfairly fined due to a lack of access to PPE. Later, I learned of the mask shortage at Vanderbilt Hospital. I assembled a 4 person team, which developed a marketing and community outreach strategy. We originally tried to collect extra masks from community members. However, we changed directions after realizing we could make a larger impact by collecting monetary donations in order to purchase masks wholesale. Later, we entered in a partnership with MasksNowTN to help coordinate the distribution throughout Nashville. Through the hard work of my team, as well as leveraging my community status I attained through my landscaping company, our success grew exponentially. We were able to singlehandedly double MaskNowTN's (An organization with over 100 volunteers), from 8,000 to over 18,000 masks. Our success was met with incredible support. We were able to garner multiple forms of national and state press through news articles and a TV interview. I was also publicly commended by U.S Senator, Bill Hagerty.
