Geospatial Applications Developer
Developed "Seaglass", a comprehensive, mobile-friendly web environment for geospatial data management, visualization, analysis, modeling, and download.This system utilizes a dynamic and flexible ensemble of data sources, including its own internal database to which users from multiple organizations can upload their data. An extensive set of external data source APIs utilized includes both Eulerian and Lagrangian platforms, including buoys, drifters, ship tracks, fixed sensors, as well as raster data from satellites. In addition to visualizing data via the map and plotting space, the system also supports custom index calculation, Python modeling visualization, using either the host server or external, high-performance servers. All visualized data and model output can be downloaded from the system on-the-fly as tabular or graphical files.
