All without a penny of external investment.FORMERLYAs founder & CEO of Ethereum blockchain startup, MoneyCircles, Ben took the concept for a decentralised peer-to-peer savings & loans marketplace to the point of traction. [2016]Founded Engorah to advise financial technology (#fintech) startups & growth-minded firms on how to find product market fit, grow the customer-base and secure the best deal with investors. Ben codified the principles, psychology and technology behind customer acquisition and retention into a repeatable 'growth' framework. He applied this framework to his work with clients (and subsequently his own startups) to help grow value for customers and thus revenue and profit. [2010 to 2018]Consulted with multiple Fortune 100 banking and capital markets organisations (including Barclays Capital, UBS, Bank of America & the London Stock Exchange) to leverage digital technology to radically improve the ROI on credit risk and straight-through processes. [2001 to 2010]As VP at JP Morgan investment bank, Ben led several strategic business-driven technology initiatives within the fixed-income business. [1998 to 2001]Built and shipped software products to 10s of thousands of users at Xerox, Reuters, Summit, Nortel and others. [1985 to 1998]One of the first to learn to code and study computer science at school (in 1979!) and at degree-level. Throughout his almost 4-decade career, technology has remained a tool to invent and re-invent business and life - as opposed to being an end in itself.
