In 2024, Ben started working on MyNiceTie full-time. He'd worked on this company as hobby since 2008 where he taught millions of people how to tie a tie. Now, Ben is using his background in technology to move the menswear industry forward. Of note, the ecommerce store MyNiceTie.com has helped micro-finance 841 entrepreneurs in 77 countries. He currently seeks to use the symbol of a necktie (tradition and success) to promote ideas that stave off the zombie apocalypses as long as possible. For a significant chunk of his career, Ben built Buink Web Development and sold it in 2024. Not only did Ben write code, he also managed devops, led teams, overseed design, and did many other things that you'd expect from a CTO. He called himself a fractional CTO because his skills are perfect for businesses who realize the importance of experienced technical leadership but don't have the budget for someone full-time. Fractional is not to be confused with fractals, which are also cool. Ben has always tried to give back to his community. As a student at CU, he ran the Graduate Entrepreneurs Association and StartupCU. Shortly after graduating, Ben co-founded Spark Boulder, the first space for startups at CU. Later, he served for years as a Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America and he has provided continuous service in his church for decades. Watch out Mother Teresa, Ben's hot on your sari trail. On a more personal note, he's married with four energetic boys. He's a player of guitar, a devour-er of cookies, an artist who is starving for time to practice, a supporter of freedom and liberty, a fluent speaker of Russian, and a follower of Jesus Christ. Oh, and he makes rolls so good they'll make you love your love handles.
