As a member of the senior leadership team for Digital Marketing and E-Commerce at Nestlé Professional Solutions, I established the Data Strategy and Governance practice for the newly formed OpCo (April 2024). In collaboration with Nestlé USA, I led a cross-functional team to build an integrated data governance and enablement service across the organization.Systems Integration & PlanningI spearheaded the migration of end-to-end sales and finance data from a legacy SQL Server data warehouse to the global Azure Data Lake. This included developing a unified strategy to harmonize customer contact and account data, creating a comprehensive 360° view of the customer. I also defined key data assets to consolidate sales reporting across Nestlé Coffee Partners and Nestlé Professional.Data GovernanceI conducted a thorough audit of over 70 data sources, ranging from flat file EDI processing to CRM, ERP, E-Commerce, and Web systems, as well as Azure Data Lake OLAP cubes. I also established a company-wide data hub to catalog and document data sources, key terminology, and reporting across sales, marketing, logistics, and finance.Data Insights & AnalysisI built and led the Data Insights & Analysis function to deliver actionable insights into business performance by category, brand, and market, driving key decisions for senior leadership. Notably, I identified the need for a customer segmentation dashboard, resulting in a successful cross-department collaboration integrating data from Azure Data Lake, Salesforce, GA4, Magento, and SAP.Team DevelopmentI united a dispersed team of data analysts, engineers, and managers, and hired top talent to fill key roles. I also developed a phased data strategy and activation plan to guide the team’s work over an 18-month period.
